The Bugatti Type 59 was gradually improved and the last version had an aluminium T50 eight cylinder twin-cam engine with 3 Litre capacity and a supercharger. The T50BIII engine developed 230 kW/275 hp.
The car with smooth aerodynamic body appeared at the Cork Grand Prix in England in 1938, hence its designation “Cork- car”. Its last appearance is reported at the 1939 French Grand Prix. |
