Dome S102 Judd LMP1 2008
Dome Company Limited , established in 1975 by the Group founder Minoru Hayashi, is a Japanese car constructor specializing in racing cars and sports cars. Since the production of its first car, the Dome Zero, the company has developed and produced about 40 models of racing cars and more than 100 car prototypes and models for exhibition at motor shows.
At the Le Mans Test Days, Dome unveiled the Dome S102 closed body LMP1 endurance prototype; The Dome S102 is propelled by a V10 Judd 5496 cc engine. The Dome S102 was entered in the 24 Hours Le Mans race by Dome Racing Team.
The Dome S102 finished the race in 33th position with 272 laps and a best lap time of 3 min 29,5 seconds. It had started in the first ranks of gasoline propelled LMP1 prototypes but encountered some difficulties requiring pit stops.
