Honda Insight Hybrid 2009
The new production Honda Insight offers a distinctive body from current product line. The Honda Insight combines an optimised 88 hp/65 kW 1.3 litre i-VTEC engine with a compact 14 hp/10,3 kW electric motor. Total weight is 1650 kg. The electric motor acts as a generator during deceleration, recovering energy. This energy is stored in the batteries and then used to support the combustion engine during acceleration to save fuel and increase efficiency.
