Peugeot 908 LM V12 HDI FAP endurance racing prototype for Le Mans
In June 2005, Peugeot announced that it will participate in 2007 endurance competition at 24 hours Le Mans as well as Le Mans series championship (5 races). The new car was defined with Diesel propulsion. The new V12 5,5 litres twin turbocharged engine with common rail will produce over 700 hp power and 1200 Nm couple. It is equipped with two particules filters. The V angle is 100 degree for lower centre of gravity.
The Peugeot 908 racing prototype has a closed body in accordance with 2010 regulations. It has a carbon fibre reinforced monocoque structure. The aerodynamic shape was refined in wind tunnel.
Weight is 925 kg, length is 465 cm and width is 200 cm.
